Should school teachers strike if they're unhappy with Government Policy?

Background and Context of Debate:

Teacher strikes are what happens when the government disagrees with a teacher's union. Teachers go on strike to try and get their message accross to the government and protest. However this disrupts classes and children are affected in a bad way.

This is Jack's story: "Recently the government have removed a law that requires only qualified teachers to be allowed to teach in schools. Most of my teachers have gone on strike against it. It was good at first because we missed out on a lot of classes but now they are happening so frequentlty it's annoying and effecting our learining and we are getting bored all the time because our classes were cancelled."

Students: Do teacher strikes have benefit on the students?

Yes

Teacher strikes disrupt students learning.
