Well the age old question strikes again. In my belief, the egg had to have come first. If anyone wants to make a rebuttle, go right ahead. What I want to ask you is how did the chicken get there in the first place without the egg? The egg has been used as a symbol of life for as long as I can remember. Without the egg, there can be no life of the chicken. If you say no, how can you say that some random chicken just came out of nowhere and that's how we get the chicken we see today.Impossible. I think that there just may have been a species similar to the chicken. Scientist say that even some dinosaurs may have been related to the chicken. Possibly, one of them kept mutating and that is how we got the chicken today, but even dinosaurs layed eggs. I would love to hear some of you that say no though.(This question should be under yes by the way.) Well the age old question strikes again. In my belief, the egg had to have come first. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Contents

Background and Context of Debate:

Hm...the age old question..which came first, the chicken or the egg? Well based on Charles Darwins Theory of evolution, all life on earth has evolved over millions of years from simple basic Micro organisms. If we follow this thoery the micro organisms as they evolved would split and multiply to "evolve" or advance to a bigger state...as this idea progresses we would come up to form basic prehistoric chickens so to speak which in turn would evlove into the chicken as we know it today. So the answer to the question is micro organisms that came to from the chicken were formed first but as they evolved they would have needed an incubation period and this is where the egg came from so realistically ...the micro organisms would not have been able to evole into the present day chicken without the use of the egg...so i would be one to say that the egg came first!

(sorry i know that i waffle alot when i talk but basically micro organisms wouldnt have been able to evolve without the help of the egg to form the present day chicken)

Did the egg come first?

Yes

I think people need to have a lot more respect for other peoples arguements, otherwise there is no point in having a discussion. Furthermore, people must stop over stating what science has proven and understand that the Theory of Evolution is still open to logical criticism and is not sometime to be considered fact at least by someone who has not criticised their own understanding of it.

My view is that the chicken came first because God created it. i am not mad nor do a state my opoinion lightly. Some may not agree but that does not mean thay are right. If a Chicken cannot spring up out of nowhere then neither can a chicken egg.
