The only sensible conclusion is that the poorest people are being exploited by the richest people, who are making huge profits off their exploitation. You can get similar results from other figures as well. The World Bank estimated in 2005 that more than half the world's population lived on less than $2 a day. Meanwhile the latest Forbes magazine “rich list” said there were 793 billionaires worldwide with a combined wealth of more than US$4 trillion. Is that fair?
