  • Bibles are appropriate if a politician chooses it. Yes, if the person swearing in is a Christian. No if they have another faith, or no faith at all. Please correct me if I am wrong but I believe that a person is not required to use a bible and is free to choose any book or no book to swear on. If this is the case I think this debate may be a non-starter.
